The Samyang 14 mm is a ultra wide-angle manual focus lens designed for both Full-Frame and APS-C cameras.

It features exceptional optical performance, regardless of its price class, throughout the image from its centre to borders. Even when used wide open at f2.8 its quality is excellent, and is perfectly suited to landscape photography requiring a high quality wide angle lens, and suitable for either professional or amateur photographer and videographers.

When using it on an APS-C DSLR - the field of view is still equivalent to approximately 22mm (35mm equivalent) which is still impressively wide, It produces an immense field of view - 114 degrees on full frame sensors, 93.9° (APS-C with 1.5x crop factor), or 89.9 ° with Canon EOS (1.6x crop factor)

The Samyang 14mm f/2.8 IF ED UMC Aspherical Lens features high build quality, with a built in petal shaped lens hood to help shade the lens from light sources behind the camera. Constructed from metal and high quality plastic, the 14mm features a smooth dampened manual focus ring, the aperture ring features 1/2 EV steps.

The Samyang 14mm features a wide, ribbed manual focus ring which is smooth and well-damped. This provides a positive manual focus, particularly suitable for more professional videoing / filming with DSLR's where manual focus is preferred, enabling focussing pulling whilst video recording.

The optical construction is 14 elements in 12 optical groups with 3 high refractive index elements, 2x ED element, an aspherical hybrid element plus a aspherical glass element. The latest generation of anti-reflective layers: UMC - Ultra Multi Coated are incorporated to minimise flare and ghosting. The lens is supplied with a special front snap-on lens cap, rear lens cap, and soft lens case.
