This user guide covers the functionality of the search engine in
RedCorp memory Superstore
This search engine enables you to
find the products that are manufactured only by Kingston. The
search engine is arranged to guide you in three ways in order to
get your dream memory product. |
According
to the picture given below they are *
Search by manufacturer *
Search by model *
Search by Red Corp reference, Kingston part number or OEM part
number Each
of the above can be explained as follows
Search
by manufacturer:- Don’t
be confused as we have told you earlier the memory products are
only from Kingston, this search enables you to find the memory
products that are compatible with other manufacturer products.
Those manufacturers are listed as you can see in the following
picture.
All you have to do is select the
manufacturer you want and click on the search button which
guides you to the following interface.
From
there onwards your search is further narrowed as you could
either select a model category to get your item (which is on
top) or you could select a type of an item such as Notebook,
server, handheld,..etc. If you search using the fist method you will end up in the following screenshot.
It
shows you the compatible memory products on top and the
compatible machine specifications at the bottom. Finally you
could click on the description of a memory product, which guides
you to your memory product page. In the second method, which is search by type, you could select a type and click the button named Select System Type. The following interface, which you get, prompts you for an exact model.
After
that when you have selected an exact model and clicked on the
button below you get the same interface as the above which I
have explained already. But
remember all the results that you get above comes under the
manufacturer that you had selected in the first place. Search by model :- Coming to the second way of searching a product,
It allows you to input a model, independent of the
manufacturer. It could be PC, Notebook, Printer or Peripheral.
After inputting click on the search button to get the following
output.
Then
you have to select the exact model category, which is related
with the manufacturer. After that you click on the button bellow
to get the same final output (product page) as above, which was
explained earlier. Search by Red Corp reference, Kingston part number or OEM part number:- This explains the final method of your memory search. As you can see in the following screenshot there are three search buttons with their related text boxes. If we consider one by one
On the top you have the specific memory product with a link to
it’s product page and at the bottom you have a list of
products compatible with that memory item.
2.Kingston Part Number:- You have to know the
Kingston part number for
this search to be useful. Input the kingston part number and
click search. This leads you to a specific product, which
has a product page when clicked on the description link.
3 . OEM
Number:- OEM number is a part number of a memory
which is manufactured by
another manufacturer. If you enter that part number you get
it’s equalent Kingston
product if available which is shown below
You
get the specific link as the above, which leads you to its
product page. *
Important : Quite
obviously each time you press a search button or on a
description link your search might fail due to the following
reasons.
·
Unavailability
of a product in our database. ·
Typing
a wrong description ·
Unavailability
of the description page · Having spaces after or before the description that is typed in a text box.
